Hello,
I moved to Bristol late last year and since being here I have really enjoyed running around this beautiful city. In May, I completed the Bristol 10K with a PB of 51m38S, the same day, on a post run high, I decided to sign up for Bristol Half; This decision was followed with instant regret!
In an effort to motivate myself, motivate you and hopefully amuse and inspire, I have started this blog. I will write about my progression through the 12 week training guide (detailed below), give tip/tricks that I have found useful along the way and share a few healthy recipies.
I am running the Bristol Half Marathon to raise money for Penny Brohn Cancer Care which is a great charity that supports people living with cancer, I hope to raise £180 as this covers the expense of one person to attend Penny Brohns Living Well course. You can sponsor me through this link.
Penny Brohn really look after their runners and have put together a training guide which I received in the Half Marathon Welcome/Training pack. It's looking pretty tough but I am determined to see it through rain or shine!
| (Fartlek = a variety of speeds in a run. X train = cross training, cycling/ swimming.) |
If you are interested in running the Bristol Half Marathon yourself, you can sign up here.
